Some News and More Lessons Learned... via mom (hopefully for the last time:)

Taylor has been to her see new post Lama Tessi, that is north of Tsevie, this past week and was really happy with it. They have built her a new home (2 rooms) made entirely of concrete, and she will inherit the current PCV's furniture who is leaving. She was thrilled to see a bookcase full of books! (She read 2 books last week and was fearful of running out of reading material.) She will have her own shower room and latrine, and hopefully will have electricity when she returns for the rest of her stay beginning in August. It is then she hopes to be able to get on and blog...she has passed along some things she has learned about life and about herself- IN TAYLOR'S WORDS:
1.a smile is a smile in every language...thank goodness!
     2. how to draw my own water from the well
     3. By owning your fears and anxieties, bringing them into the light-they lose their power.
     4. my mental and physical ability to adapt to new circumstances, i.e. bucket showers :)
     5. my perception of time/distance-within Togo and beyond
     6. Catholic Mass is more fun (jovial, singing, dancing, laughing) than some masses in the USA (even if they    are 3 hours long!)

She wants all who have been texting her, that she has not been able to receive texts..we don't know why..

Taylor will send me her new address in Lama Tessi when she knows it, and I will post it on Facebook and here, until then, please don't send anything as she may not receive it! Thanks to all that have sent things, she really appreciates it!
